Charlie Green brings 30 years of fire service and forensic investigation experience to Atlantic Fire Investigation. Specializing in origin and cause determination for complex fire and explosion incidents, Charles has investigated a wide spectrum of residential, commercial, vehicle, and equipment losses throughout his career. 

 He served 30 years with the Frederick County, Maryland Division of Fire & Rescue, retiring in 2022 as a Lieutenant in the Fire Marshal’s Office. His extensive background includes participating in multiple federal, state, and local task force investigations and over two decades in the volunteer fire service.

Charles holds NAFI certifications as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI), Certified Vehicle Fire Investigator (CVFI), and Certified Fire Investigation Instructor (CFII). He also maintains IFSAC certifications as a Certified Fire Investigator, Inspector III, and Plans Examiner II, with specialized training from the University of Maryland Fire & Rescue Institute, the National Fire Academy, and post-blast training from the ATF. Recognized as an expert witness in state court, Charles leverages his practical firefighting knowledge and technical expertise to deliver reliable, court-defensible findings for insurance carriers, attorneys, corporations, and property owners.
