Troy Hipsley is a Senior Fire Investigator with more than 30 years of experience in the fire service and forensic fire investigation. He specializes in determining the origin and cause of fires and explosions.

Troy is certified as a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) by the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI) and as a Fire Investigation Technician (FIT) by the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI). He earned a Bachelor of Science in Arson Investigation, with a Minor in Criminal Justice, from the University of New Haven in 1996. His advanced professional training includes the IAAI Expert Witness Courtroom Testimony program,  and ProBoard Fire Officer III certification, strengthening his ability to present technical findings clearly and effectively in legal proceedings.

Throughout his career, Troy has investigated a wide range of residential, commercial, vehicle, equipment, and explosion incidents.

In addition to his work with Atlantic Fire Investigation, Troy serves as a Driver/Operator with the Baltimore County Fire Department, where he continues to apply decades of operational fire service experience. His combination of practical firefighting knowledge, technical expertise, and commitment to professional excellence enables him to provide clients with reliable, defensible investigative findings for insurance carriers, attorneys, corporations, and property owners.
